I failed to find this subject on your list of forms so maybe someone can direct me to the proper on-going form if there is one.
This problem has been vexing me for a year now but up to now I've been able to skate around it by connecting my DVR to a lower class of cable box. But now it's on all my cable boxes analogue, digital and HiDef. Whenever I try to record any program onto my stand alone DVR from all of my cable boxes (any outlet) I get the message that I cant record a protected channel!
I am mostly interested in recording movies from the movie channels and missed episodes of my favorite TV programs.
I have tried the simple systems ie. the little black box we used to use for copying video tape movies, but to no avail.
While searching the net I found a reference to a German Company which sold a device to unscramble the protection factor, but I could not find any sales site, company or product information.
I also found a product mentioned on The Net called "Sima CT-2 GOVIDEO Digital Video Stabilizer - Duplicator" which is selling on ebay for $75.00+s&h. They hint it will do more than the description implies. Or is it all just a pipe dream and is just an updated video tape block remover?
Can Any one help??
