Okay, I'm a 15 year old computer lover hoping to get a new laptop for Christmas. I'm really involved in the world of Graphics, Programming and Animation and understand macs are alot more reliable than PCs. If I do purchase a macbook with MAC OS X Tiger I will also run Windows on it. Im just wondering if someone can give me opinions on what they think about macs and some information maybe? Any help is appreciated.

Macbook is a very good machine, but it is not for 3d rendering or playing games such as halo, wether you use mac os x or windows. But if you want best performance, i highly recomend a Macbook pro.

But the best choice for what you are looking for is a mac pro, it supports windows, up to 16 gig of ram.......

If you decide for a mac, you will fall in love with os x, but it is good to have windows since many good apps are only for windows.

http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/specs.html

I recomend this. U can specify some spects, like memory and hard-drive capacity. MacBook is good laptop, but it doesn't have good grapics-card. MacBook PRO includes "ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics processor, dual link DVI support, 128MB of GDDR3 on 2.0GHz configuration. 256MB GDDR3 on 2.16GHz configuration". But if u REALY want a good mac, I would turn on iMac or Mac Pro. With these machines u can work like real professional.

But turn on http://www.apple.com/hardware/ for more onformation from different macs

And if u buy or somebody buys u a mac, use apples own store

Ei kaikkea kaikille, vaan jotakin jokaiselle

The pro is a little bit too expensive, isn't the macbook alone good enough? :s

"Graphics, Programming and Animation "

I dont do that kind of stuff but I would think a macbook pro or an imac would best fit those needs.

I have a macbook and it is not up to par for 3d animation or Video Editing. Although a fine audio editing machine, the integrated graphics card makes a huge difference. Not to mention the screen is a little small for high end applications.
