my stargate dvd has half the movie on one side and the rest on the other which is really stupid how can i combine them so i can burn a copy?also ive read many of the posts on dvd burning software but no one is clear on which is better they usually end up talking about something else when the question is asked.

You can combine them by using TEMPGEnc DVD Author.
As far as burning software I use the latest Nero. (see my post "burning a dvd with Nero" to get the best compatability with dvd players)
I also have record now max and gear pro dvd
I think all are the same as far as quality. But I use Nero because it seems to burn faster for me.
Bottom line: Everyone has their own preference. Try all 3 and choose the one you like the best.
