the matrix chip is a nice one to start with if you are new to modding, there's no soldering and it's very easy to install, unless you have a new xbox board (V1.2 i think), then you gotta solder.

Before you can do all those cool stuff you have to have an Xbox iso maker like gdfimage, or Yursoft xISO to burn a Dashboard like evox to ur harddrive or it won't matter if you installed a mod chip. Then if you want to do more things like Xbox game backup you have to invest in a DVD writer, and take some time to know a burning software good like Nero, record NOw,ect......hopes that helps

you don't have to invest in a dvd writer at all. you can go to bestbuy and get a western digital HD for 79$ and copy all the games over to that.. you will need to a good iso maker not xISO it sucks ass. you can get slayers auto-installer which has an ISO built in and burn it to cd-rw and that will load all the apps and the dashboard it is really pretty simple and well worth it.

dude, we can all pitch in and help you get your chip installed no problem. there's plenty of knowledge here available to you so you could install the chip yourself, but offering pirated material on here will get you banned very quickly. edit your post and remove that offer for the adobe so you dont get banned and we can help you get modded.

i am thinking about getting an xecuter 2.2 pro. I read that these chips come pre installed with bios. How can you reflash them so you have the x bios and is it possible to do that

it comes flashed with the LINUX CROMWELL BIOS... i have no idea WTF that is... it may allow you to play back-ups im not familiar with it.. but they talk alot about reflashing on that site so I assume you may need to reflash it with either D.6 eject fix or the new x2 bios for it to work but once again i dunno
darthnip- you know anyhting about that bios
