ps2dvd NHL 2007 Rebuilding Problems.

I tried copying NHL 2007 twice to dvd +R and it keeps freezing at the loading screen. I have read threads about rebuilding the game but when i tried to do this on NHL, i couldnt find the "dummy" file.

I have burnt over 50games so far using TDK DVD+R 1-16x discs and always burnt at 4x using Dvd Decryptor and i use swap magic 3.6...
I also tried doing that TOC refresh thing but when NHL loads up, it just comes to the red screen saying " insert a valid ps2 disc "

Can sum1 please help... this game is supposed 2 be really good!

You realise you're in the wrong forum? This is the CD one.

Sometimes there isnt a dummy file, but rebuilding may still decrease the game size if the game uses a false TOC through LBA positioning, which many EA games use.
Try a rebuild, won't do you any harm.
But ditch those discs, they're not the best of quality for PS2 backups. I suggest RITEK G05 8x DVD-R. I've done 2000 PS2 backups with not a single non-working burn. 100% success rate.
