i realy hav no idea about these chips but i really need sum help fast wiv understandin these chips and ther uses and disadvantages

If you know its been asked before, then you should know the answer!
It enables the playing of import & backup games on your PS2 console by imitating the PS2 boot code of a pressed PS2 disc.
It is soldered onto the motherboard of your PS2, and requires fitting by someone who knows what they're doing.
