psp movie creator crashes

i have just paid good money for this stupid program called "psp movie creator". i wanted to convert my dvds into mp4 format so that i can watch my movies on my psp.

this stupid software cant even read my dvd. when i pop my dvd in and tell it to convert, this error message pops up: "THIS IS A ISO1117 BITRATE". then psp movie creator either crashes or freezes.

can anyone tell me why this happens or why it doesnt work? ive even tried every setting in the dvd options menu and still no luck.

should i just use another software
