I've using Recode by Nero trying to get off the slow a#@ Shrinkit. But when I start to encode, the option to slow down the burn speed to 4x is not active (its dimmed out). And when I proceed to re-encode it, the program just saves it to my HD it doesn't allow me to copy the files to DVD. Right after the encoding process. I have to manuelly open NeroROM and select the option to burn a DVD movie.
What am I missing to get this feature

Hi AndreL
Under 'destination' is your burner listed in the drop down?
The burn speed will only be available if the drive is selected under destination.

Well, looks like binkie has already sorted things out for you. Just a note here, I recommend Nero Recode to transcode and write into your hard drive (hard disk) instead of auto burn afterward. I've come to conclusion that with Nero Recode importing to the hard driver first, then manually burn with Nero Burning Rom or Nero Express is likely to give you free of errors versus auto burn (auto burn is more likely to produce more errors). However, that's just my opinion. The choice is yours.

Good luck.

I just did my first DVD with Recode. I did burn directly to the disk and all went fine (I think).

Alkohol, Thank's for the heads up on burning to HDD first. Will try to remember this if I run into any problems next time.
