MMJB not recognizing audio CD tracks

Hello,
I'm running MMJB 10.00.0043, and when I insert an audio CD, the drive doesn't recognize it. When I try to open the files in MS Explorer, it only shows 1MB *.cda tracks that I can't play.

The funny thing is that if I use other players such as MS Media Player, I have no problem opening the files, even getting the track tiles entered automatically. I even went so far as ripping the tracks to my hard drive where MMJB was able to play them.

What needs to be changed so that MMJB sees the files again?

I don't know what could have changed, since I use this laptop for playing audio CD's intermittently and just noticed the problem casually today.

Laptop is running Win XP Pro.
