My AnyDVD seems to close on me. I start it, come back and it will be closed. Even when I'm not running anything or backing up movies. It will not stay running.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
Trojan, perhaps? Remember that Sony's trojan rootkit interfered with CD and DVD drives, right? This might be something similar.
In the interim, try uninstalling it, and remove registration data too, and then reinstall. Also make sure you don't have other decrypters installed except for DVDFab and DVD-Decrypter if you want. Some others apparently don't get along with AnyDVD.
-Do you believe you own your computer and shouldn't be told what you can run and do? Then say *NO* to Microsoft Vista!
-Since half the questions here involve media problems, here ya go: Only use Verbatim or Taiyo-Yuden discs (get your TYs from Rima.com, not Supermediastore or meritline). Forget the rest, no matter what "brand" they sell under. Always burn at 4x speed regardless of the speed rating of this discs or your drive. If you have burn problems with these then you have to update your drive's firmware. For double-layer discs, only use Verbatim DVD+R DL and burn them at 2.4x speed.
I'm not sure what you mean by removing registrations. I uninstalled it, then reinstalled it again. I also was disconnected from the internet and it still closed.
When you uninstall it, you should be offered the option about keeping the registration info. Don't. But I suspect there is a much more serious problem at work here. Does your computer meet the minimum requirements?
Again, also, look for other proggies like DVD43 and uninstall them, then reinstall the latest version of AnyDVD.

I am not implying anything negative here, but I have read somewhere that this problem is quite common on cracked version. If your key was stolen or somehow leaked out, contact Slysoft to get a new key.
