help burning downloaded ps1 games with only .img files

sry if this has been answered before..i recently downloaded a game since my original copy was uplayable(scratches). the file i downloaded contained only .img files..this game has 3cd...so in total 3 .img files..tried burning with imgburn but i cant get past the PS logo screen..can some please post the steps for me to burn the game?and the settings for the programs as well..thanks

Try CloneCD. If not, then Alcohol should handle .img files too.

sry again..but when i burn the game with cloneCD my ps2 went to the browser screen..my ps2 is modded and can play ps1 games..at the browser screen i see only my mem cards n ps cd..when i press on the cd it goes back to the browser screen..my Alcohol 120% doesnt seem to support .img files..

Are you setting your chip into PsOne mode? Some chips require you to do this before you boot the game.

ya..its is PsOne mode...i can play ps games on my ps2 jus fine..i just cant load it on my ps2..how do u make alcohol regonise .img files..cause mine recognise it as an unknown file type..

What about MDS and MFS file for PS1. If those files where PS2 files I would use DVD decyrptor but they're PS1 files, I have Nero and am want to use Nero. What's the deal with them?

if you only have a .img file then you are missing a .cdd and .sub (both are made from cloneCD and should of came with the .img file)

just burn the img with Nero at X4 speed.

So if I ripped a CD, and it had all three files (.img .cdd .sub), and I burned it to CD, is that sufficient for the PS2 to load it? Also, how can I burn that to DVD in a way the PS2 will recognize it? Can I just burn those three files, or do I need something else? When I tried it with DVD Decrypter it wouldn't work, and I got this:
Image Format:MODE2/FORM1/2352
DVD Format:MODE1/2048
You see, my PS2 won't read a CD, and I was trying to burn it to DVD to load it.

what where you trying to burn? If it's a game then you'll need a mod PS2. I remember you told whether you should get yours modded; for that operation you will need it modded or Swap Magic. Just burn the IMG file with Nero/ DVD or CD. If you have an MDS/MDF file use DVDdecypter using the MDS file. If you have an ISO burn the image with Nero. Burn all these at 4X speed or the slowest you Disc/n/Drive can go; but I recomend 4X.
