any ideas? im confused as some people love/hate linksys and hate/love netgear. which one is a good buy for a user who uses p2p regularly as well as surfing the net 24/7? all sings point to the linksys WRT54G

any new router would be good but you wont get the full download speed with wireless than if you had a directly connected computer you will also have to portfoward your routers ports. i would recomend netgear dg834pn i have been using it for over a year know with no problems.

in my experience Belkin make utterly atrocious awful foul crap routers

i would recommed a netgear router as in my opinion thay have the best wireless reliabilities.

I'd say go for the WRT54G, one of the most reliable routers i've seen so far.

indeed, my WRT54G is a trojan, just keeps on truckin'...

did you know if you are not happy with your wirless signal you can get a wireless booster that you can plug into a socket anywhere in the house that can boost the signal quite dramatically

i've seen those, don't know if they're any good though ?.
i just about get enough good signals - except for 2 PC's that struggle to get a signal) - it's those Victorians, why did they always build walls 3 feet think LOL)

my cuz has one it seems to work well as there family is seperated into two houses next to each other the main router is in one house and the booster in the other, it gives good coverage.

black friday tomorrow and I still haven't got any wireless router. any recommendations to which one I should get that's sale tomorrow? the Linksys speedbooster from best buy looks good with a 20 bucks giftcard.
