I run an Imac 10.4.8 with Monsoon flat-panel speakers (speakers about 2 years old). Suddenly, today, I heard a sound exactly like a cricket coming from my speakers. At first I thought it WAS a cricket except I couldn't find one. Then I noticed that the "cricket's" loudness could be controlled with my volume control on the keyboard. Very weird and disconcerting. I first noticed it while looking at football scores on NFL.com, and thought that it was some sort of advertising gimmick; then I heard it again when I was in the iTunes store searching for a song. I don't hear it except when I am connected online. Also a strange "beeping" sound very much like a the warning sound a truck or machine makes when it is backing up. I only heard this sound twice but it accompanied the cricket sound. This cricket sound sounds EXACTLY like a real cricket. Help. Steve
