All of a sudden my DVD burner cannot burn DVD-Rom discs, it always used to be able to but now i don't know whats wrong with it????, My burners is a HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA 4167B, i know it says DVDRAM but before it never had trouble burning DVD-ROM disc's with Nero v7.

What exactly is happening?

Read my sig about media. If you aren't using good media, expect problems. Media can vary batch-to-batch.

Make sure you haven't accidentally selected in Nero the "Simulation" option in the burn screen.

If you are using good media, do a firmware upgrade if you are not running the latest firmware.

Post a Nero log if none of that works.

-Since half the questions here involve media problems, here ya go: Only use Verbatim or Taiyo-Yuden discs (get your TYs from Rima.com, not Supermediastore or meritline). Forget the rest, no matter what "brand" they sell under. Always burn at 4x speed regardless of the speed rating of this discs or your drive. If you have burn problems with these then you have to update your drive's firmware. For double-layer discs, only use Verbatim DVD+R DL and burn them at 2.4x speed.
