I am using a version 1.1 xbox with Xecuter2 Pro (bios 4977). Trying to get Evox(latest 3752 I think) installed to backup games. Having trouble geeting computer to connect, but still working that issue. Winxp, cable modem using a hub with cable modem in the uplink port and comp and console in ports 2 and 3. Am I using the right apps for my setup or would you reccomend anything else??

I get an ip auto assigned when I use an older version of evox....I am using flashfxp, tried cuteftp also...When I manually assign ip, no connect either....If I have regular cat 5 cable that I had computers networked to in my house, will that not work? Does it have to be a cross-over cable, specifically??

if you are using a network card straight to the xbox you need a crossover cable and your static ip set to yes.. if you are using a router you need static ip set to no and a regular cable..

I am using a hub and regular cables that worked before with a computer. I think my comp/Winxp is not doing what it should.... I have manually tried and like I said before, with the older evox it showed an auto ip once, but still would not connect to it...Maybe I should try a direct connect with a cross-over??
