I just realised my Maxell only burn at 6x and 8x :/ this sucks would it matter if i burn at 6x instead of 4x what about 8x i know i have read tons of threads saying 4x but mine dont burn at that speed so...

Update your writer's firmware. That'll most likely fix the problem.

Maxell are crap anyway, so I'm not really surprised then.
Switch to RITEK G05 8x DVD-R.

although you've heard this many times,taiyo yuden are the best,if you cant afford them then get verbatim or sony which are yuden certified.also tdk are good.

Ace will you just shutup you don't help anybody all you tell ppl
is that their media is crap.
If burning @ 6 or 8 works then burn them 6 or 8 b4 switching
to TY's I could only get G05's to burn @ 8 they wouldn't work @ 4x
That was my first coaster out of 150 burns

So i reccomend to anyone.

Thanks for the replys everyone i actually just burned them at 8x then verified them after and have not had a problem yet i have burned about 24 so far and played each for a little to make sure the worked and they do so :). Also i got it to burn at 4x i just used Omnipatcher and enabled the 4x write speed for my media code just incase i need it in the future.
