i think that folder is for avc encoded movie files.....but i could be wrong.

there are two types of movie files the psp can play

1.) .mp4 encoded files and
2.) avc encoded files

that i couldnt tell you. if ur on 1.5 it doesnt work on there anyhow. it was for later firmware versions. Dont quote me on this but I think Nero can do it. I use Nero for all my coversion purposes concerning the psp.

PSPvideo9 encodes to H264/AVC MPEG4 which has much better quailty and compression than the standard SP MPEG4.
If your running a V1.50 or V2.71 SE-A PSP your much better off encoding to PMP/AVC and using Jonnys PMPMOD AVC app to run 480x272 (130560 pixels) movies which look much better than the PSP,s native player which only runs movies at 78600 pixels.
I would advise you to encode to PMP/AVC to get the most out of movie playing on your PSP. ;)

Goes on your PSP. Make a folder called VIDEO in the PSP folder and drop your PMP,s in there.
