I've gotten Scarface from Lamestop and I've put it on my Xbox HDD through the retail copy and i've also backed it up and tried to install it on my hdd that way too.

I've got xecuter 2 that loads up on my xbox screen when it boots and then i have an evolutionX dashboard that loads after that (don't know much about it else. bought it that way.) It burns ok and when I go to play it, at certain points in the game, it will just lock up. Same thing with my backup disk too.

Anything???

Does the original play fine?

If the original works just fine, then a several things could be happening.
1. You're using poor quality media.
2. Your Xbox lens is dirty.
3. You're burning at too high a speed.
4. Your DVD burner's lens is dirty.
5. Your burner's firmware needs an update.
6. You're not using a reliable burning application.

Is this the only game you're having issues with, or do other games you've backed up yourself not work well?

Only game with this problem. Used a Flockfuster copy, friends, and turrent sites.

No luck. Freezes intermittently. Right before the tiger jumps out at the beginning most frequently.

Quality media...Sony DVD+R ok...prefer Verbatim or taiyo yuden

Try burning it to a -R. +r's useually dont play well in a Xbox {Took me 3 copies of X-men the official movie of the game to figure that out lol}

The best way to burn an Xbox game is to use DVD+R booktyped to DVD-R. However, I just use DVD-R since Best Buy often has sales on DVD-R Verbatim.

ok, I've copied scarface to my hdd. So now what do I do? It friggin freezes in the second level and I can't do anything with it. Any help appreciated.
