Thanks in advance for any help. Ok, I edited a project in Premiere pro 1.5 and used their encoder, using the built-in maincocept encoder as a vbr 2 pass, then Iused TMPGEnc author pro to burn. I used avicodec to check the out putted file after encoding, and it said that it was a mpeg-1 file or VCD, not DVD. Any idea what I did wrong? maybe I don`t have a codec or something? Interestingly enough, GSpot says it is MPEG-2. Odd

Not sure if this was the mistake, but using the adobe media encoder in premier pro 1.5, I originally chose MPEG-2 DVD. I just tested using only"Mpeg-2" it came out like it should. Any reason "mpeg-2 DVD" comes out as VCD?
