my friend has a psp and he dropped it and i'm for certain that he was NOT trying to downgrade, he just dropped it but i dunno how hard it was and now the screen is black but it does turn on, so could it just be the LCD replacement?

bcuz he dropped it in iraq(his in the army durr :P) and he is going to mail me that broken psp.

so i wanna know what you guys might think

(p.s, i'll have more info on when i'll get it)

any memstick lights or power lights come on?

it's a little vague in the description of the incident.

He wasn't updating

He says all the lights are on,
first he says that only half of the screen works and now he says its black.

aight if he was updating then its a brick cuz you can brick when updating if ac is oulled and if it took a drop then more than certain but if it just took a drop then maybe its the screen open it up see if the lcd is hangn out or somn
