I recently pre-ordered a U.S Wii in Singapore and was wondering whether there would be IP restriction such that VC cannot work in Singapore. Anybody can answer me? thanks. I know that i can only play U.S region games but thats fine with me cause i dont read Jap. Lolx. Hope that someone would find a way to bypass all the crap.

the games are region restricted except for gamecube titles

and worse the virtual console will only play sega genesis games unless you purchase the classic wii controller as well as the nunchuk

Kind of in the same topic, has anyone heard confirmation of any launch virtual console games or any that are for sure going to be released in the near future?

I have my fingers crossed for Bionic Commando

Thanks. At least I'm glad to see Solomon's Key on there. I thought that was a great game, played it on my Famicom

Umm No. They rage in wii points which you purchase with a credit card or if lucky you will find them in some game shops. I think these are region protected aswell. An australian wii points card wont work in US. Also as far as i know they have not cracked the VC games as yet.
