im wanna buy a psp from ebay so i can play games off my memory stick
can anybody tell what i need to look out for when buying one? all i know is that v1.5 would only work to play games on psp with memory stick.
and what is psp 1000?
and what is v.2.71 se?

i think psp 1000 is just the model number (mine says psp 1003). 2.7 SE is something to do with custom firmware i think. Buying a psp off ebay i doubt there is no way to tell what firmware it is going to be unless the seller states it so your going to have to take the sellers word for it.

custom firmware lets you do numerous things such as hide corrupt icons, recovey mode that lets you unbrick if something goes wrong with fonts, gameboots etc. I think you can only get custom font, gameboots etc with custom firmware.

There is harley Gs custom firmware and dark alex's custom firmware. i have dark alex's

well yeah a TA082 is one thing you should definitely look out for and also the firmware shouldnt be higher than 2.71 .

well not that much it really depends on differnt psps and how much theyve been tamperd with. i myself am lookn for a psp from ebay aswell soo all this applyes to me aswell but if you folow proper instructions on the downgrader and do it properly it should all go nice and smoothly!

so is there a high risk of it gettin bricked?
because im a n00b and im scared geting my first psp bricked.
if it does get bricked how much can i sell it for? or is there any way to unbrick it?

there is not a high risk of brick very minimum and u can fix it buy either changing mobo or selling it on ebay for about £60 or sell it to people who want bricked psp hexitnow for example

There's loads of 1.5's on Ebay, If they are already 1.5 then they cannot be a TA-082 Mobo, thats the easist way if you are not sure.

if i use homebrew to run games off my psp does it matter what region the game is?
would all games run off the homebrew app on the mem stick work with region 2 psp's
