Okay when I print on discs with the r300 I get little white borders around the disc where the image won't print, is there any way to prevent this and cover the whole disc? I am using epson print cd software btw.

Open up the epson print cd program. Click on the yellow disc icon on lower left. Make sure your outer settings say 119 mms.
If that checks out, when you import the picture-make sure it covers the template. You may have to stretch it out by dragging the black square boxes.Drag it so a little overhangs that outer edge.

I am thinking about going to printables. It seems like everyone mentions the Epson R200 and R300 printers. Then they talk about scanning in the original disk to get the picture. So you need the printer and a scanner, right? Do any Epson "all in ones" work well? I saw one that is normally $399, but after instant rebate is only $229. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

You mainly need the printer. With sites like:
http://covers.box.sk/.
http://www.cdcovers.cc/
http://www.cdcoverz.com/
http://www.coveruniverse.com/search.php?q=doom&c=4
http://www.freecovers.net/browse/movies.a.html
http://www.customcdlabels.com/
http://www.generetic.org/
http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/index.php
http://www.lightscribecovers.com/
You can find the majority of disc covers you may need.Full hubs,Reg hubs,Lightscribe.
Simply find the right cover, open it up,right click, save picture and send it to a folder for your covers. You may have to drag to make the cover larger.
The top link is the #1 free covers site. Everything from PS2,xbox,cd,dvd,ect. Not only disc covers, but case covers as well.
I've got an older HP scanner. The downloaded covers are a lot better than my own scans.

NytBurnr- Yes Saugmon the dancin' Booger is correct You can find most of your DVD Case Labels (Covers ) @ the sites he recommended ! You may also try a site called Megasearch.net for the covers and disc labels which they choose to call cd labels but it's the artwork that matters ! and that is the same . A reason to own a scanner or a all-in-one scanner /copier /printer... is sometimes although it's rare you can't find the exact dvd case cover or dvd label on-line ! with a scanner no problem you can scan & print from your original !On espon printers /all in one 's I have owned 2 a Espon Stylus Cx-5200 and a Cx-7800 and find them excellent devices ! The only downside if any to Epson's printers are these ! 1. Epson Brand ink is super expensive ! & 2. Even using genuine epson ink you have to run the head cleaning & nozzle check programs every onc e in a while . They'll clog up on you and print in one color or off color if you don't ! 3. using the head cleaning and nozzle check programs uses up ink thats justthe way of Epson printers ! You can find Compatable /generic cartridges for the Cx-7800 and many other printers at ezinkjets.com wait for a sale like 30-40 % off with free shipping -they have these sales every couple of months and then load up! this will help defray some of your ink cost anyways ! hope this was helpful ! Also you can get a epson stylus CX-7800 like I have for about $150.00 US if you shop around maybe cheaper even ! good luck & happy Printing NytBurnr

I have the Epson R320........ love it...... makes great prints on DVDs....... I scan all my disks. When I use the Epson Print CD program and IMPORT/PICTURE then hit TWAIN........ it goes right to my HP scanner. in the settings of the scanner on size I put it at 150% and when I get the scan just right and hit ACCEPT it goes right back into the Epson Print CD program and I don't even have to stretch out the picture to make sure it fits onto the disk! It comes out perfect all the time:

taz, just to let you know, that I bought my printer from ebay, but if you don't trust it go to any good electrical shop. If u want colour images on your dvds then get a cd printable printer, I have the epson R300 and it works great for me. (there is also something called lightscribe which etches stuff onto dvds to look more proffesional but it is only blak and white, but I'm not too sure if this stuff has advanced)
By the sounds of it you just want basic printing then a printer like mine is best. Oh and by the way, you need printable dvds, regular ones won't work, and its best to get the better quality ones like taiyo yuden or verbatim which I use.

@Taz....... I bought my Epson R320 about 10 months or so ago at Office Depot or Best Buy.. I forget.... I think it was under 120.00 can't be sure.... and it had a rebate from Epson. that was then..... I'm sure you can buy it somewhere: CompUSA, Best Buy, CircutCity, Office Depot, Office Max, maybe Radio Shack! I love it and I buy Taiyo Yuden printables only!
@KKre..... here is one of my LightScribe disks:

The imks the same on the 340 320 & 200 both the inks I got from Meritline and supermedia are Ridisc that I've been using for the last year that I've been printing track lists on my non printable Cd"s. Chris
Edit If any one runs across G&G ink for the 300"s let me know the only G&G inks I get are for my 3800 & 4200 scanners
