My PS2 broke about 2 months ago and I am currently borrowing one from my friend. I have a 300gb HDD and HD Advance and everything worked perfect on it, but now for some reason I am having troubles. It is weird, I would backup games onto it and it would work on every game I tried with my old PS2 I believe that it was a version 4, scph-30001 something like that. . . and now using my friends PS2, which is scph-39001 I am having trouble converting some new games. It will play all games except the ones I have recently converted using his PS2. I do not think that version matters at all, but that is what I am leaning to.

SO HERE IS WHAT WORKS:
-All earlier converted games play perfect
-Can convert all games
-Can delete any games
-Can rename any games

HERE IS WHAT IS NOT WORKING:
-Recently converted games: Time Splitters FP, Scarface, ect. will not play

PS: On my old PS2 all of my games worked on it, Time Splitters, Project Snowblind, Syphon Filter TOS. . .

The main thing is that I need to know if version affects the outcome of the convertions. As I have to buy a PS2 soon and if I do not get one in which will convert me games my HD and HD advance will go to waste. Those two things equalled an ammount I was not happy to pay, but the game play and fast loading times made up for it.

CAN ANYONE HELP ME?
