super Compress mp3s like Audible aa files? ??

I have several acounts with audible and usually use them just as they are. But lately I have had such a hassle getting the program to recognize which device I'm using. Its frustrating. I don't have thet time to deal with calling them and getting this fixed all the time. Audible's file format is great quality and nice and small. Does anyone know of a program that will compress mp3's in such a compact format yet still keep the quality?

Any help will be appreciated.
