Some more info would be good, like system specs, if you installed SLAX or are running it off HD, which SLAX distro you're using, etc.
There could be a number of issues causing this, so that extra info would help narrow down the options.

That's not a proper answer to my question.
Although it could be the USB's aren't showing up properly because your running SLAX on a VM.

open terminal, and type 'lsusb' and it should show usb devices.. if it says there's no such command, try to type 'su' first and then 'lsusb'

but there's also possibility that your usb bus isn't supported.. but i dont think so :-)

yeah, VMware emulates your hardware, so..

Usually just typing lsusb in a console would do it, but like i said, it could be different due to you running it of a VM, and there could be software/hardware incompatibilities.
Without more info, there's nothing i can do to help you.

@ Jannejt : Some versions of VMware cause problems with SLAX, especially the killbill distribution can be a doozy.

do u think the problem is my slax iso?

i used this one
http://rapidshare.de/files/18684918/live-cd.iso.html

cause when i type in lsusb it gives me
"Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000"

and before i typed lsusb, i typed in dmesg.
