How to protect my dvd/vcd/cd from being copied by those who borrow my stuff

Can someone pls tell me what can I do so that my dvd/vcd original or burned copy CANNOT be burnt by someone else when I lend them the disc? This is assuming they do not have software to break the protection. Thks

If you can copy them then assume they can and if you don't want them copied then don't loan them.

If there was software which could prevent the copying of DVD's, don't you think the major studios in Hollywood would be using it? CSS, Arccos, Puppetlock, Macrovision, and the rest of their attempts to prevent the copying of DVD's are a few of the attempts they have made to prevent this. Didn't work, did it? Like JohnnyD says, the only sure way is to not loan them out.

Where I live, many people (90%) do not know how to use things like Decryptor etc. If something cannot be copied, they just presume the disc cannot be copied - full stop. So I would appreciate if there is some simple way where they would be unable to copy it when they try to that's all. They will not be attempting to further try to copy the DVD if they put it on the burner n it can't copy, that I am sure. So, anything out there that can do this? Thks again.

The easiest way to prevent them from copying it is don?t loan them out..
Anyway why do you care if they make a copy or not? You are not responsible for what they do with the DVD once they make a copy. Technically they could get in trouble if you lend them the copied DVD without the original.
Not very many threads on how to add a copy protection onto a DVD. So I have no idea what program you could use. I am sure they are out there and you could google it and find some easy.

Can't be done everybody rips and burns everthing look at Sony and etc. they have a ton of money to stop people from making copys it can't be done why even ask?

God, why does everybody tell me it can be ripped. I asked my question in relation to these people not knowing anything about ripping (we are from remote SE Asia, some people still don't even know how to use a pc....)

What you want is a way to make it harder for the average person to copy your disc...ok i've read threads where people have tried using different programs such dvdlab pro,ultraiso,xvi32,etc...to try to make some kinda of copy protection ...only 1 problem tho..those programs were made to help get protection off and remake into a protection free copy not the opposite ..however thru some experimenting i'm trying to come up with a way along with some "help" to do that myself just to see if i can imitate ripguard,dvdafteredit,arccos,macrovision,etc.
I have came up with a way to make DVD Shrink and CloneDVD not be able to open a disc i made once.

i can't beleve someone would care so much,if someone made a copy of his dvd.
someone he loaned his movie to,somebody he call's a friend.lol
talk about crazy this topic takes the cake,sorry man but if the guy has a pc and a dvd burner.
anybody can make a copy of your movie!!
a damn monkey could copy your dvd.lol
i know ppl who are so dumb they can't walk and talk at the same time.lol
but even they can copy a dvd,i seen it!(not a joke!)
trust me,what you want to do can't be done;)

In this person's defense, many people tape/shoot school events, church functions and make some money on the side selling these disks and are most likely looking to protect their business. Alas, they are learning that what can be read by a DVD player can be copied by a computer.

In his defense: he probably just wants some simple DRM protection like the kinds found on commercial discs. Probably shot his own Porn flick and doesn't want lots of copies being made. Or created his own music video etc and wants some simple protection. There are plenty of software
out there to do that...just google DRM protection software.

@CrowDUDE, I buy originals where I always burn one backup copy. Most of the time, I lend my backup copies to people and sometimes my originals.
