Error after format...primo...recordnow max...will not record image file???

Hi...

I've recently formatted and re-installed xp.

Now..when I try to burn a dvd with prassi primo or recordnow max of an existing image ...it reports this error

" Error 10 at sector 624-disc read error-command 2a sense 03 asc 73 ascq 03"

I've tried 3 different types of media including apple and verbatim.

Is it the software/xp...is it the drive(which I've hardly used)

Can anyone please help me with this...???
