I just bought a Creative Zen M and am very confused about how to put movies and/or TV shows onto it. I paid to join a service that I thought Id be able to download from but when I found the movie I wanted it was going to take a week to download it.
Can someone give me some tips on how to add movies and if possible a site where I can download from that wont take forever? Another question, if I have a DVD can I transfer that to my Zen? If so, how do I do that?
Well if you browse the DVD forum you can find out how to copy your purchased DVDs
Slysoft (makers of AnyDVD) has some easy software for coverting your movies to AVI format, I've used it and it doesn't get any easier. I think its called clonemobile (something along those lines). You get a free 21 trial before you buy, its worth buying the bundle software.
Hopefully I've pointed you in the right direction.
Thank you so much for taking the time to help me. I am very new at this so some of my questions Im sure seem very obvious and dumb.
Can I take a DVD that I physically own and copy it onto my Zen somehow? I thought I had if figured out last night only to find out that I didnt.
That link tht you supplies me with, will also let me add videos that I already own onto my Zen? If so, and if it wouldnt be too much trouble, could you or someone else please give me step by step instructions on how to do so? Youre time, energry and assistance wuold be very much appreciated.

Bravest,
I also have the Vision M and wanted to put movies on my player, I followed Rosedog's advice and downloaded the free (hello? yes I said free) 21 day trial of Clone mobile and followed the instructions from the help section of the software. I started late at night so I only put 8 movies on so far. After playing with the setting a bit I found that a full length movie aprox. 3-4 gigs can be compressed to 500 megs and smaller, I chose the smaller resolution but max out the quality setting and got great looking playback on my Vision M. I haven't tried the larger resolutuon setting cause after seeing the playback quality ,and the awesome file size there seems to be no need, plus the higher resolution makes larger files that take longer to process. The movies I added were backed-up using other tools found here on this forum. Note: my Widescreen back-ups have the black bars on the top and bottom of the screen on playback making the 2.5 inch screen seem smaller. I want to try the higher resolution on a widescreen movie to see if I can lose the black bars a bit. Anyone have any good advice on this?
