Hi guys.

I downloaded a TV series and it came with the AVI files, and two folders:

SUBS_VO
SUBS_VF

In these folders there are a whole heap of .srt files, with names the same as their AVI counterparts.

Could you please tell me how I can encode these subtitles onto the videos? Or how I can atleast WATCH them with the subtitles? Thanks guys...

You can watch the subtitles with the video using VLC media player. As far as coding the subs into the AVI since that's something I prefer not to do, I have never tried.
