Hi all...


Well I have been searching all over the web for OFFICIAL Taiyo Yuden 8x DVD-R with Silver Laqueer...


I LOVE Newegg and they only have the White tops..I am looking for another ONLINE Retailer who has legit products and also GREAT Service...


I am seeking Best Prices, Best Quality, and Best Customer Service...


Please Give me some legit links to get these AWSOME DVD-R'z I keep hearing about...I have Verbatim 8x DVD-R'z and they Kick Major Arse...I backuped a few PS2 Games and they Work Nicely but I am seeking Taiyo Yuden's because I heard there the best...


I use Ritek Ridata 8x DVD-R for my Movie DVS Backups and they Work Great to, but I heard Taiyo Yuden is better.


I have a Plextor 712-A DVD/CD Combo Burner that works awsome.

Please Help Thanks a bunch

Sorry to post again...

I have a Playstation 2 v7 and I play ALL My Movies on it as well as on a Sony Dual VHS/DVD Combo with no problems with my Ritek Ridata 8x DVD-R'z


I am strictly wondering about my PS2 Backups...I Backuped some games like Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus, MK Armageddon, Prince of Persia: Two THrones, and DEF Jam: Fight For NY with the NEW Verbatim DataLifePlus 4.7GB 8X DVD-R 50 Pack Cake Box Disc - Retail...I got...Are these the right Verbatims?? What does DataLifePlus Mean??

I noticed with Final Fantasy VII I burned with DVD Decrypter at 2x and it works Perfect so far...I burned MK Armageddon at 4x and it works Nicely but sounds off sometimes...I burned Def Jam at 4x and it is Perfect...


The only thing I can say is Prince of Persia: Two Thrones...I burned it at 2x and tried it...Everything works perfect EXCEPT when the FMV's happen I get skippy results...Like part of the FMV will be playing fine and it will freeze for a second but the sound will continue and it will jump to another part and run fine and do the skipping again...


If I got Taiyo Yuden would it be any different???


I know this is a Media Forum but I thought this would be a Media Question because I am wondering about if it would be any different results with Taiyo Yudens??

These say 4x,but sometimes they ship the 8x or 16x:

Also check rima.com and meritline.com. Look under Thermal Printable media.They are a lot cheaper than inkjet printable.

I see a lot of peeps with issues with -8x ritek media- Ritek-G05. Movies27 was one of them. The Tys should help out.

Also,verbatim in the 8x and 16x speed are very good as well. Same Advanced Metal AZO,just like taiyo yuden.

I've Never had any trouble with Riteks /maxell /Officedepot- Ritek media ! In either My Nec's or BenQ burners Maybe I'm just lucky ?
