Hi Guys... I was wondering on how this Action Replay Cheat CD Works. Does anyone have this?

Ive played around with it. When Entering Expert Mode, I select my game( Final Fantasy X) and then i select the Features i want to cheat. My question is: After selecting all the cheat codes i want, does it compile these codes into my save game file, and will i then continue from where i left off, just with the added cheat codes? Or will it create a new Save Game File and start from the begining.
