1.I've read that you can mod your PS2 with Swap Magic or a Mod Chip, but can you mod it with the tape and tissue trick?

2.I'm using Maxell CD-R discs, which burning program should I use?

3.Whats this boot disc I've been hearing about? It's said to allow you to play imports and backups, is this true?

1)tape and tissue is for use with swap magic on slim ps2s

1.I already know that, but your not answering my question. What I meant was if you can use it to play backups.
2.I meant which is the best to use.
3.No, it's not Swap Magic, I've heard that theres a boot disc that lets you play backups and imports with just that disc.

1. WEStar's reply would suggest to anyone with a bit of intelligence that, YES, it can be used to boot backups, but ONLY on a slimline & with Swap Magic.

2. For CD's it doesn't matter, but it does for DVD's

3. Swap Magic is the ONLY boot disc for PS2, and there is NO WAY to boot a backup with JUST the boot disc. You need some way to swap discs without the PS2 knowing you've done so.
