Well offically announced 250.00 for a nintendo wii and it comes out on november 19 but there are somethings that you need to know
1. virtual console
the nintendo wii will not run nintendo 64 games and nes games and snes games unless you purchase the wii classic controller the only titles will be remote compatible are sega genises titles and turbo graphix 16 titles
2. web browser
the nintendo wii doesn't come with a web browser you must use wii points to purchase the Opera web browser for the nintendo wii in the wii channel (stupid considering that the Opera browser should stay free like it's pc counter part)
3.there will be only 30 titles at launch that you can purchase through the nintendo wii channel
4. buy lots of wii points
games start for the nes and snes at 500 wii points for nes titles 800 wii points for snes titles and a 1,000 wii points of n64 titles considering the wii cards are only 2000 for 20.00 you are going to be paying through the ear for games

Do you have any references for your claims? I'd really like to know the control options for the virtual console games.. I'm hoping you'll be able to use a GameCube controller, but I thought all virtual console games required the classic controller?
The Opera Web Browser will be free for download untill July 2007. I'm guessing around that time they will have their first price drop, probably around the same price as the cost of the browser.
http://www.opera.com/pressreleases/en/2006/09/26/
Nintendo expects 60 virtual console titles to be available before the end of the year, with 30 to be Genesis and TurboGrafx-16 titles. After that, 10 titles are to be released every month.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_Console_(Wii)
I don't think the prices for the vc games are all too bad.. it's about $5 for a NES game, $8 for SNES and $10 for N64
two dollars less I think would have been the sweet spot price, but these prices aren't that bad.

the classic controller is 19.99 when the system launches on november 19 after that date however the controller will go to 39.99 in which you have to buy it look at game informwer magazine they explain everything and you have to pay for the Opera web browser there will be no free version

The Opera browser will be free for download/use for the first 6 months.
The classic controller will be 19.99. The previously mentioned "price hike" is because the classic controller will be bundled with a 5000 wii-point card. A great deal if you plan on utilizing the virtual console at all.

I know this is offtopic but what sohuld I get the ps3 or the wii I was always supporting the wii until today I went to gamespot and saw screens and videos of my faveourite game F1 2006 but with graphics that are impossible to actually to explain the rain hits the screen then the drop slowly splits up and then gos of teh edge like it would in real life everything has amazing reflectiions and shadowing is 10/10 the tyre treads look like reallife. Who ever said that graphics werent a part of gaming I think they are immnsly one of the main parts what I need you guys to do is to go to gamespot then search f1 2006 and pick the ps3 version and look at the video and screenshots and tell me is the PS3 worth more of buying then a Wii

That's really up to you man. If you like stunning visuals more than anything else, than you should pick up the ps3.
But if you feel like waiting, then I'd suggest waiting until both Wii and PS3 kiosks are set up, and then you can play both systems for yourself and then decide which system gives you a better overall experience. Most of the people picking up launch systems are diehard fanboys or ebayers looking for quick cash. Since you're somewhat on the fence, take it the whole nine yards and make a choice you won't regret in 2 years from now.

It cant be 100 you cannot buy anyhting at all with taht amount
By the way I notice why they are giving wii sports away for free now even the company said it will be a short lived novelty I think it will too the game does not look like a game for these new consoels instead looks like a N64 game cmon nitendo I know you arent going for graphics but doing stuff like wii sport makes me think why bother with a new console you could just make a wii-mote and a sensor bar for the gamecube who agrees with me on the wii sport

at first I was hearing good news apon good news about wii and now all I seem to hear is bad news. why the hell do you need a classic controller to play emulator games? why can you not just do it with a game cube or wii controler?

It's a universal controller. I don't think Genesis games or SNES games would translate very well on a Gamecube controller or the Wiimote. This way, the user can play them all similarly to each systems' native controller. I know the controller is not exactly like each system it emulates, but it is probably the best solution Nintendo came up with. At any rate, I think it is going to receive a lot of support, more so than criticism.

Well, what i think would be a neat idea is to hook up your Wii to your internet connection, then be able to create an alias or something (similar to XBOX live) then when you get high scores or w.e get Wii Points, then be able to buy stuff, like not a lot of them like maybe 10 points for playing for 10 hours or getting 100000 points on a game or something, then if you wish to have more, you could buy them.. you know? sorry if i didnt explain very well.

Well, I'm not sure if Pepsimaxx' explanation makes sense to most other people, BUT:
DOA4 used a much similar approach. You got points for winning fights, and using these points (LOTS OF THEM) you could open up new items for play. New levels, new costumes, TONS of new stuff. It was a great system.
A console-wide system like this would be very welcome. I would really like that, even if points from game A didn't transfer to game B it would still be very cool. Actually, if poitns DID transfer, it would probably get pretty messy overall, lol.

There are a few of us wandering around here who can keep up in nearly any topic, especially some of the addicts; holy cow, they're above ME sometimes. And that scares me, because I'm used to blowing everybody else's minds.
