Hey guys, im constantly downloading from Bitlord, have been for about a year, and everything i download, even with 100+ seeds/peers, im always gettin a download speed of around 25 KB/s, yet i am running a 2.2Mbps Pipex connection, some of my friends are gettin around 20KB/s on a 512 connection! I have tryed the whole thing of capping upload speed but it doesnt work, any ideas?

Your download speed in BitTorrent, or any other P2P (Peer-2-Peer) application for that matter, relies on the upload speed of others - so do not assume that because you get xxKB/s when downloading from web sites that you will always get xxKB/s with BitComet. Slow download speeds are almost always because the upload bandwidth required to provide you with fast downloads just isn't there... so there is no way to magically speed it up, other than going out and buying everyone who you're downloading from (seeds/peers) a faster internet connection.

BitLord is not good, I think it's about time you think about getting a new client.

Ahhh, I understand, Thanks!

Really about the client? i have always used Bitlord and found it good, apart from the speed lol! I tryed uTorrent once but the text seemed to be missing so i just stuck with Bitlord. What client do u recommend?

I was going to recommend UTorrent.

BUT

Guess it won't work with you, so Try Azerues, great client, used to use it myself, you need java to use it, though.

Ps. By The Way; don't worry if you don't get FAST download speeds, it all depends on seeds and leechers, I very rarely am able to get my full download speed, want faster downloads then try signing up with a private tracker.
