No sound after conversion of audio

I have converted the audio using virtualdub as a wav file then put it through TMPGEnc,all is well put it in my dvd player great picture but still no sound i have tried everything done everything that i've been told to do the audio is also correct but when i burn it i just dont get audio works in powerdvd but not in dvd player, tried lots of other peoples dvd players the same happens great pic.no sound please help what am i doing wrong?
