i recently read a post about dma settings which said that primary transfer mode should be set at 5 and secondary should be set at 2. my primary is 5 but my secondary is 4.are my settings ok,i have not had any burning problems.

Hi ranger1
You're fine w/ those - in fact you have faster speeds by having Ultra DMA Mode 4.
Your primary is usually your hard drive and they usually support DMA Mode 5, your secondary usually have your optical drives - most newer ones support DMA Mode 4. You can get these faster transfer modes when using an ATA 133 ide cable which is sounds like you are.
