well i know this just a measely boring topic which answers are easily found on google thing but let me state my point.
i tried flashing (firmware update/downgrade/change) my japanese buffalo airstation wbr2-g54 wireless some few days ago with a higher firmware v2.32 english. i couldnt read the japanese warning sign so after 2 minutes or so i got impatient and resetted the airstation and to my surprise, it still powers up but doesnt work anymore, yeah stupid me, i bricked it!
now i tried researching for a fix, i found out that no has successfully installed the english firmware on japanese model and most of them that tried also bricked their router. i was out of hope when i stumbled upon something about shorting the memory chip of the router so it can function again at default. i researched a lot of pages just to figure out how to properly do that and after a few exhausting hours (7pm-2am) i finally resetted it and run properly but firmware is bad and doesnt load, so i got an unofficial "dd-wrt" wireless router firmware and installed it via "tfpt". now my wireless router is properly functioning and in english (hurray) minus the AOSS and some few disadvantages though.

cant we short the psp firmware chip like on the router?
if we can, is there any way to input a proper firmware back in?

- NOTE - these are just ideas, lets exchange knowledge/experiences, flames are not welcome duh!

Wait, are you talking about your psp or your router, since your giving alot of info on the router then the psp. Anyway back to the psp. Unless if you have a modchip/custom firmware installed, your pretty screwed. Thats why i dont mess with programs that flash files. But, you could try putting in a new mobo but i dont much about it.

buying a new mobo is not good because its hard to find nice mobos with 1.5 er anything downgradable, it also not easy to install.
i dont have a bricked psp but i created this topic to seek help for those unfortunate people that have bricked their psp (i know the feeling of one, felt it when my router bricked) and those who are victims of bricker homebrew apps. anyways i hope somebody finds the cure for bricked psp.
