So it looks like I can't play any more new games with my firmware at version 1.5. When I start up my PSP, I get this error message: To start you must update the system software.
From what I've seen this means no more new (real) games for me :(
Is there a chance that images/isos/backups will still work? Or maybe some other workaround?

cancel the update.
or if its what i think it is, its just a corrupt FW and it didnt really meant UPDATE FIRMWARE but just repair.

and dont worry as long as you dont upgrade to 2.8x you can always downgrade it back to 1.5
