Recently, My Sony DRU-700 stopped burning correctly. Out of nowhere, it started working again the other day. Unfortunately, it just stopped working again. I'm using Sony DVD-R media, so obviously it shouldn't be a media problem. I have the latest firmware, VY08. I have the latest ASPI drivers, etc. as well.

Here's the Nero Log:

Your burner doesn't recognise your media. Use Verbatim, Sony or Taiyo Yuden.

And you can also upgrade to Nero to the stable verison. Save your serial number, uninstall, run this tool,
http://www.nero.com/nero7/eng/Nero_7_Clean_Tool.html
Then install this...
http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845
and then use old serial.

I haven't seen these drivers before. Are they for your motherboard or your AXV drive? If so, have you checked for newer ones?

Why did you feel it was necessary to install an ASPI driver?

Let us know what happens after you update Nero.

those drivers are 'Intel Application Accelerator', we normally advise removing them and replacing with standard microsoft ATAPI drivers.

here's an example - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/231433/1296926

Looking at your log I would say it the version of Nero7 you are using 7.0.0.0........this first version of Nero7 was "buggy", follow Rippers advice and run clean tool and then update, you can try this version 7.2.7.0 http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?1493

Nothing wrong with Sony media.
