Problems with ABC

hiya, hope someone can help!

i have been using ABC as my bit torrent client for ages and ages and never had any problems until now. i got a new computer and since i downloaded and installed ABC to carry on using it i have had a weird problem with it. it will start downloading and seeding normally, showing all the speeds changing as they do, then i notice that they seem to pause. at just a glance u'd think it was still all ok, as each connection has an U/L and D/L speed, but if you look longer they are no longer changing and have obviously frozen. if i close the program and start again it is all fine again for another 10mins or so until it freezes but says its still downloading etc. weird! i have checked all my settings and i don't have any limits set that would cause any problems and my broadband connection is fine

has any one else encountered similar problems? im just baffled i never had this problem on my old laptop...

it seems to be some kind of settings/software conflict. if you've run all the typical anti-spyware/anti-virii, i'd just try a new torrent client and see if you get the same problems.
