My psp's usb wont work because it always says it isnt recognized. If u take out the mobo of the psp,will it feel different? Also, where can i get a #000 phillips screwdriver.

try a different usb port? and wen does it say it's not recongnised and where??? on the pc or psp????

on the pc, but i tried on 5 different ports, 2 different computers. but when i go into usb mode, it says USB MODE.

Maybe something that connects the USB port to read the memory stick has broken. Best bet is to open it up and take a look.
