Hey. For some time now, I've been looking into getting a plasma tv. I know some things I want it to have, but I can't find one. I want a 50" plasma, 720p, with connections for computer input, and preferably no more than $3500. I was looking at Dell's 50", but I hear now that it looks poor in dark scenes, then I was looking at the Pioneer PDP-5070HD, but I dont know anymore. What are your ideas? Which tv best fits what I want, and is actualy good? Thanks guys.

You might want to consider waiting a little longer for a laser TV which are expected to be released Dec. 2007. The makers say they will be "half the price, twice as good, and use a quarter of the electricity of conventional plasma and LCD TVs."

Hey, thanks. I was looking at one panasonic a bit ago, and it looked real nice. Too bad I realized a week or so ago that I can't get a 50 inch...my entertainment center is just too small.

You mention a PC input? ... If you plan on using a PC, you will regret going with Plasma. I would start looking at LCD if I were you. I made that mistake.

Get a Panasonic - Panasonics are the leaders in Plasmas right now. I just got the Panasonic Plasma 50" and I love it. Me and my friend both bought the same TV and spent alot of hours comparing the different technologies and the different plasmas - Plasma's definitely the way to go, and Panasonci is the brand.

Under $3k but I got mine for much lower due to my connections
