I've been having trouble with Nero lately and I was wondering if anyone out there could help me. I installed my copy of Nero 6.6 and everything was running well and looking good but when I went into Nerovision to make a dvd in the menu authoring part I get no audio at all on the preview screen. Picture good audio bad. So I took back and tried Nero 7 latest edition and still same issue!? Am I a dumbass? I currently hane k-lite codec pack and creative x-treme music sound card. Any ideas?

Try inserting some type of audio file in Nero Vision on one of the audio tracks to see if it will play. Perhaps try different types to see if one type has a problem.

Maybe change the audio settings from Automatic to something else to see if it works, under the More button, Video Options, DVD-Video.

Well.. I figured out part of the problem. I have Nero 6.6 installed with k-lite codec pack and a Nero codec pack. I could get sound on dvd edit menu in stereo only but just now uninstalled k-lite pack and my ac-3 in Nero is suddenly working? What are you running for codecs? Have you had an issue with this?

Sorry, I don't run Nero 6. Nero 7 seems to come with all the codecs necessary, although some are a little doubtful.

I'm sorry to say I won't be ripping movies with Nero anymore. Too much screwing around to get it to work right. I was hoping to get something like Nero for dvd authoring you know how you can record small chunks of video and audio for your menus? I'm sticking with convertx to dvd. It just works 97% of the time no excuses. Any other progs you can suggest for menu authoring?
