I Need Help Updating Bios For Asrock Motherboard - Please Help

i wanted to update my bios to see if it unlocks the option
to overclock in the bios settings.
it only lets me adjust the multiplier & voltage,
but it says its already at max..
i have an asrock k8upgrade vm800 socket754 & the bios is
american megatrends. i think its the first version that came out
though im not sure.
on the asrock site there are about 20 updates since then
but am unsure what one i would need.
i downloaded the latest one, but am a bit
paranoid about installing it in case it does any damage.
could someone please have a look & tell me if this
is the right update for me? it is version 2.30 i have downloaded
& i think its version 1.10 i have installed just now.
any help is appreciated, thanks

install latest one. if your unsure call the manufacturer adn they will tell you for sure and then wa bam your updated.

ok, i have the latest one downloaded on my desktop..
how do i backup the one i have just now in case of problems?
