I have EVOX installed to my hard drive and Executer2 pro with 4977 bios flashed. Everything seems to work great except that when I try and watch a dvd movie it goes to the evox screen the same as when it is starting a game, but just sits there and never does anything...any help??

I assume you're using Xbox Media Player. Well go through your "config.xml" file and make sure all the locations of directories is accurate. XBMP assumes that the directory for itself is [e or f]:/apps/xbmp, so if its different you must change it. good luck

If you have the playback kit, I'd go ahead and direct the movies to be played by xboxdash.xbe. If not, I'd suggest using DVDX2 or xbmp, although the latter hasn't given me pleasant experience with DVD movies in the past. You can change where the buttons direct to in evox.ini by hand or there are programs out there that can edit the .ini file.

You might want to direct it towards msxboxdash.xbe if you have already installed evoX.....just in case there was any confusion

well it could be called anything...it is the original xbox dashboard....most people call it msxboxdash....you did keep it, right? It would be located with your evox.ini in the root of the C directory

By default it's xboxdash.xbe, people usually rename it because the older bios' booted xboxdash.xbe and people renamed evox to that... Anyhow I'd use the X2 4977 bios, rename evox to evoxdash.xbe and keep the original as xboxdash.xbe...
