I have been sealing my Inkjet DVD media (image side of course) with Krylon "Crystal Clear" Acrylic coating 1303, to prevent water or fingerprint damage to the image...would like to hear some opinion's on this practice...pro or con..has not seemed to hinder dvd playback to this point in time...Thank's

The good: Makes the colors rich, gives a protective finish, Has a smoother finish when applied properly.

The bad: Fumes can be hazardous to your health, Everytime you add something to your disc you run the risk of a possible read error. Even if there are no read errors, Disc quality test scans before applying ink are always better and adding a sealer degrades the disc further. I have tested before and after results and the overall quality is compromised if only slightly with the addition of ink and then further with sealing.
