Are there any benefits of the Nintendo DS Lite over the normal DS?
And, are there any benefits of the normal Nitendo DS over the Nintendo DS Lite?

DS Lite: brighter screen, smaller unit itself. Same size screens

Big DS: can't think of anything

Dude, If you trying to decide on what DS to get, I would go with the Lite. I traded my Big DS, in for the Lite, and the Lite has a big difference. When you play the games, the brightness of the screen actually makes the game look better. I would totally recommend getting the DS Lite.

The screens on the DS Lite are much. much better than the original, even at their lowest setting, i remember comparing my DS Lite with my brothers original S and it was just amasing how much difference there was. (He ended up getting a DS Lite)

Only downside to the lite is the GBA games sticking out, which is more of an issue to my brother than me, as he plays on GBA games more than I do.

Well, the original DS has larger speakers, so it's a bit louder than the DS Lite.

I prefer the original DS myself since using the triggers on the DS Lite hurts my hands faster than if I use the original.

Thanks goes out to theridges for the userbars :)

On both the original DS and DS lite the speakers are on either side of the screen, due to the smaller size of the speakers on the DS Lite the sound is slightly quieter and maybe a bit more high pitched.
