am i missing the blindingly obvious?!

i bought this game yesterday (x box) and it loops from opening credits to intro movie to opening credits to intro movie....etc. pressing start and other buttons simply speeds along this loop...!

do i have a dud? is my x box caput? is this like a pc add on and i need the original fable?

Sounds like you bought a bad copy of the game. I'd return it and get a new one.

Fable TLC doesn't require that you have the original Fable as it's just Fable with added content.
