okay this is really amazingly crazy. After buying the Sony DVD+R disks yesterday, I went to office depot again today and I saw a pack of 100 Verbs for like $27.99. So I was like cool, I'll take a pack of them... and then I saw it. For some reason they were 50% off!! Like $13.99 for a pack of 100!
I walked out of the store with 3 packs ;). The disks have wite printable surface on them and check out as MCC-004.
I'm not sure if the 50% thing is just at my office depot (Reno, NV) or everywhere. In any case, the regular price of $27.99 is also pretty nifty.

thanks. But I still can't believe how manufacturers and companies have the nerve to offer disks like the CMC-MAG's to us consumers. It's like crapping in a can and putting it up for sale... I mean, wtf am I going to do with a pack of 100 useless DVD's, be mesmerized at how shiny they are?
Argh, someone should file a lawsuit or something.

SovMish-I hear you!
Look on the brightside ! if it were'nt for Forums such as afterdawn.com more people would be buying CMC ( The Horror , The Horror of it all) LOL! but seriously You do have options ! 1. If you have'nt used more than a few And you have a recept you could try returning them ? Say something about your Dvd Burner /DvD recorder does'nt like them but works with other brands !- 2. you were given them as a gift but your burner is broken so you can't use them now !- 3. You don't like Brand X and your wife , Mother, sister, brother or whoever you wish to blame bought them ! Hey it's worth a shot ain't it ? If they won't refund you in money ask if you can swap them out for some verbatims or something Good like that ? If they won't refund your money and your stuck with them you could relegate them to non- critical purposes - Recording soaps for your Spouse , parents or whichever family member watches them! assuming you have a DVD Recorder that will record in whichever format they are ? This could be extended to any TV show that you want to see but don't care if you can keep it for posterity/long term! you can save them for experimenat use - trying new programs or ideas out where there is a risk of burning a coaster -Hey no blood no fowl right ? And then you could just get mideavil on their *ss and use them for Skeet shooting targets ( PULL !!!!!!!!) or perform whatever devious mayhem appeals to your twisted Psyche at the time -Use your Imagination Buddy !!! in the end It's totally your call to make - But try the return thing first ! And vote with your money ! if enough people quit buying Brands that use CMC as their OEM Manufacturer perhaps they'd switch to someone like Taiyo yuden, verbatim, Ritek or RicohJpn atleast something useable right ? money Talks !!!! Good luck and Many (Atleast 1 anyway ) Happy returns ! Ciao!

Haven't been skeet shooting in awhile. I'm not even sure CMCs are good for that.
-Do you believe you own your computer and shouldn't be told what you can run and do? Then say *NO* to Microsoft Vista!
-Since half the questions here involve media problems, here ya go: Only use Verbatim or Taiyo-Yuden discs (get your TYs from Rima.com, not Supermediastore or meritline). Forget the rest, no matter what "brand" they sell under. Always burn at 4x speed regardless of the speed rating of this discs or your drive. If you have burn problems with these then you have to update your drive's firmware. For double-layer discs, only use Verbatim DVD+R DL and burn them at 2.4x speed.

Dunker- Yeah I know ! but you still could load them in an automatic throwing machine and aim it at a brick wall and see how many Stick ! LOL! Or bring them to someone who has a paper shredder with the CD shredder option and make really sparkley Confetti for New Years !!! Then there's the microwave option ( ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZTTTTTT!!!!!!!) Don't get me started LOL! I think we've covered this subject or 1 like it before in earlier post ! anyway Dunker we could always give'em out as Halloween favors to Underpriviliged computer -kids ( I'm Sorry That's cruel !!!!)
